How to get to Montagne du Diable Regional Park

Be careful when using GPS or mobile apps!

Do not rely on your GPS and mobile navigation apps (Google Map, Maps, Waze, etc.) which sometimes plot a route via OHV (Off-Road Vehicle) trails. Also, roads names do not correspond to reality .
Use our itinerary to make sure you take the right route to the Windigo Lake and fall Sector.

Read the instructions below carefully:

Directions via the village entrance of Ferme-Neuve

From Mont-Laurier :

• Take Highway 309 toward Ferme-Neuve (approximately 17 km)
• At the entrance to the village, turn left onto Montée Leblanc
• Continue straight ahead. Montée Leblanc becomes chemin du Baskatong
• The Léopold-Papineau Welcome Centre in the Village des Bâtisseurs Sector is located on your left between km 9 and km 10 (green kilometre markers are located on the right side of the road along the entire route).​
• Continue straight ahead to km 16 (green kilometre markers are located on the right side of the road along the entire route)
• At km 16 (T-intersection), turn left onto chemin du Windigo
• Continue straight ahead
• You will arrive at a “Y” intersection (see Photo 1 below)
• Turn left (you are now on chemin des Chutes)
• Drive for a few hundred metres
• Turn right (90-degree turn) (see Photo 2 below)
• Continue straight ahead for a few hundred metres
• Parking lot P3 will be on your right
• You have arrived. Welcome!

Directions through downtown Ferme-Neuve

It is also possible to drive through the village of Ferme-Neuve on your way to PRMD. There you will find several essential services:

• Gas station
• IGA grocery store
• Pharmacy
• Desjardins Credit Union (ATM)
• Convenience stores
• Restaurants and other local businesses.

If you choose to drive through the village of Ferme-Neuve:

From Mont-Laurier:

• Take Highway 309 toward Ferme-Neuve (approximately 17 km)
• Continue straight ahead to enter the village
• On 12e Rue, the municipal offices (Town Hall – Hôtel de ville) are located on your right at the intersection
• Turn left onto 9e Avenue
• Continue straight ahead (you will pass the IGA grocery store on your left)
• At the third stop sign, turn left onto 16e Rue, which becomes Montée Giroux (lac des Journalistes will be on your right)
• At the Y-intersection, keep left onto 3e Rang de Gravel
• Continue straight ahead
• You will arrive at Montée Leblanc
• Turn right onto Montée Leblanc
• Continue straight ahead. Montée Leblanc becomes chemin du Baskatong

From downtown Ferme-Neuve to Windigo Lake and Fall Sector (Desjardins pavilion), count approximately 35 minutes.
